Rebar Bend and Weight Schedule
Cut length with bend allowance and total weight by bar size from the bundled #3-#11 unit weights.
Example
You enter
- Rows {"size":"#5","straight_ft":20,"bends":["bend_90","bend_90"],"pieces":12}, and 2 more
You get
- Total weight (this row) 951.0 lb
Details, formula, and sources
Cut length = straight_ft + bend_allowance_in / 12 where bend_allowance = sum over bend types of (multiplier × bar_diameter): 90° = 6 db, 135° = 6 db, 180° = 4 db, stirrup = 14 db, hook = 6 db. Row weight = cut_length × unit_weight × pieces. Total = sum of rows.
ACI 318-19 / CRSI Manual of Standard Practice by name. Unit weights per CRSI / ASTM A615 published values: #3 = 0.376 lb/ft, ..., #11 = 5.313 lb/ft.
ACI 318 + CRSI manuals licensed; ASTM A615 nominal-weight table free in published engineering references.
Estimate. Engineer of record governs the design and acceptance. Verify against the project structural drawings and the manufacturer's published capacity / chart.
