Residential Framing Package
Stud + plate + joist + rafter rollup with board-feet totals from footprint, perimeter, wall height, joist span, rafter span, and pitch.
Formula and source
Stud count = ceil(perimeter / stud_oc) + 8 (corner/T allowance). Plate lf = ceil(perimeter × 3 × 1.10) (sole + 2 top + 10% waste). Joist count = ceil(footprint / (joist_span × joist_oc)) + 2. Rafter count derived from approx_length / rafter_oc × 2 (both sides). Rafter length = building_run × m_common where m_common = sqrt(P² + 144) / 12. Board feet per ft per nominal: 2x4 = 0.667, 2x6 = 1.0, 2x8 = 1.333, 2x10 = 1.667, 2x12 = 2.0.
IRC 2021 (International Residential Code). Tables R502.5 (joists), R602.5 (studs), R802.5.1 (rafters). WWPA standard grading rules for board-feet conversions.
