Details, formula, and sources
Series Z = sum of Z_i; parallel Z = 1 / sum(1/Z_i) (equal drivers = Z/N); series-parallel combines the two. Safety verdict: total impedance >= amplifier minimum rated load.
Ohm's-law series/parallel impedance combination (public); the amplifier-minimum-load check follows the manufacturer's rated minimum, by name (user-supplied).
Public Ohm's-law network theory. The amplifier specification governs the rated minimum load.
